Frontier areas of the Polish and Lithuanian is increasingly known for its tourist amenities the region of Europe. However, the relatively low level of organization of local representatives of the SMEs of the tourism sector and a negligible level of cross border cooperation does not make it possible to use of the potential which lies at the sector, what makes the region lags far behind other regions in Western Europe, that keep using this potential for long time already.

The initiative to awake the potential of the Polish-Lithuanian border cooperation is taken by DYNAMIC project. Partners in Poland (Suwalki Chamber of Agriculture and Tourism) and Lithuania (European Institute of Interdisciplinary Research LT) have launched joint initiative towards activating cross-border SMEs of tourism sector’s cooperation leading to increase the attractiveness of tourist border regions.
